Test and Tag Fire Fighting Equipment training that is designed to make you skilled in all aspects of testing and tagging fire fighting equipment.

Training Courses:
CPPFES2020 Conduct routine inspection and testing of fire extinguishers and fire blankets
CPPFES2010 Inspect and test fire hose reels
Delivery and assessments:

- Theory Assessment (closed book) and Practical Assessment
- Self-paced pre-course reading and theory assessment
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing this course, applicants will have completed off-the-job training during which the following key theoretical and practical competencies were covered in relation to the testing of fire fighting equipment:
- Inspection of Fire Extinguishers
- Inspection of fire blankets
- Inspection of fire hose reels
- Servicing and Maintenance of Fire Protection Equipment
- Mandatory Maintenance Records
- BCA Fire Appliance requirements
- Installation and servicing requirements
- Legislation BCA and Australian Standards
- Testing and tagging process
- Documentation of testing activities
All learners must be able to read and comprehend English to a level that will enable them to safely perform duties as specified in the competency standard. MSTS recognises that some learners may require more support to meet the requirements of the training course. We will endeavour to meet these needs with regards to; language, literacy and numeracy skills. Learners are encouraged, prior to commencing the course and where applicable, to complete an MSTS LLN analysis, which will assist the Trainer/Assessor to interpret individual skill level and manage this from the onset.
