OVERVIEW
LICENCE TO ERECT ALTER and DISMANTLE SCAFFOLDING INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
There are three classes of Scaffolding: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.
CPCCLSF2001 – Scaffolding basic level
CPCCLSF3001 – Scaffolding intermediate level
CPCCLSF4001 – Scaffolding advanced level
The MSTS LICENCE TO ERECT ALTER and DISMANTLE SCAFFOLDING BASIC LEVEL, training course is designed to train and equip you to be competent in the full use and operation of scaffolding over 4 metres. With our first class facilities and trainers, MSTS courses are among the best scaffolding courses Perth and WA has to offer.
A Scaffolding Licence is required for anyone erecting scaffolding above a height of 4 metres.
Each class must be obtained before moving on to the next. All Scaffolding courses have both theory and practical components. Scaffolding courses are available at both the Mandurah and Port Hedland Training Centres.
Scaffolding is a high risk training course, and on successful completion, students are awarded a WorkSafe High Risk Work Licence (SB/SI/SA), as well as a Statement of Attainment.
This unit specifies the outcomes required to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the Intermediate level which includes use and operation of Cantilevered crane-loading platforms, Cantilevered and spurred scaffolds, Barrow ramps and sloping platforms, perimeter safety screens and shutters Mast climbers, and tube and coupler scaffolds (including tube and coupler covered ways and gantries) for licensing purposes.

PREREQUISITES
Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Basic Level – CPCCLSF2001 is a Pre-Requisite to the Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Intermediate Level.
All learners must be at least 18 years old and able to read and comprehend English to a level that will enable them to safely perform duties as specified in the competency standard. MSTS recognises that some learners may require more support to meet the requirements of the training course. We will endeavour to meet these needs with regards to; language, literacy and numeracy skills. Learners are encouraged, prior to commencing the course and where applicable, to complete an MSTS LLN analysis, which will assist the Trainer/Assessor to interpret individual skill level and manage this from the onset.
CERTIFICATE GAINED
All successful applicants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment:
Licence to Erect, Alter & Dismantle Scaffolding Intermediate Level – CPCCLSF3001. A High Risk Work Licence with SI class will also be issued by Worksafe WA.
