CONDUCT CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SKID STEER LOADER OPERATIONS – RIIMPO318F

This course is typically conducted on-site at a Customer location, however MSTS can arrange for all aspects of training, including Equipment and a suitable location. • Legislation, responsibility and maintenance • Skid Steer Loader attachments (if applicable) • Safe operating procedures • Machine inspection and pre start checks • Work area assessment • Digging techniques including digging to levels, levelling areas etc. • Backfilling and general operation • Loading, transit and dumping of loads • Loading vehicles (where applicable) • Loading onto/off trailer/truck safely • Basic Machine Maintenance including refuelling • Safe parking and Shut down – including post operational machine checks, securing of machine and work area

All learners must be able to read and comprehend English to a level that will enable them to safely perform duties as specified in the competency standard. MSTS recognises that some learners may require more support to meet the requirements of the training course. We will endeavour to meet these needs with regards to; language, literacy and numeracy skills. Learners are encouraged, prior to commencing the course and where applicable, to complete an MSTS LLN analysis, which will assist the Trainer/Assessor to interpret individual skill level and manage this from the onset.
